Sylvan Park Tree Planting Event

  • Murphy Road Nashville, TN United States (map)

The Sylvan Park Neighborhood Association has been actively working to maintain our established neighborhood trees, replace dying/dead trees, and plant new trees.  We’ve been partnering with local horticulturists, nonprofits and neighbors to provide ongoing support for our Sylvan Park tree canopy.

Recent efforts to-date have included working with the Nashville Tree Foundation and Metro for volunteer tree pruning events, the removal of several dead trees, and the addition of 69 new trees in the past two years!.

The Nashville Tree Foundation and Metro will again support the planting of additional trees in Sylvan Park right-of-way areas this fall, and a volunteer planting date will be held on Saturday, November 2nd from 10am to 1:00pm!  Nashville Tree Foundation staff will be on site for a tree planting demonstration and to help volunteers install the trees.  We're anticipating the addition of 32 new trees (including a mix of 11 different species) to Sylvan Park right-of-way areas this fall!  We welcome volunteers who would like to participate in this training and planting event.  If you'd like to help increase the tree canopy in Sylvan Park, please use the following link, or the QR code below, to register as a volunteer for this upcoming event:
